Global Assignment Settings Warning

Modified on Tue, 25 Jun 2024 at 11:57 AM

Once you've created your Vantage course and set due dates, going back to the global assignment settings to make changes will trigger a warning message before you save:

Warning! Making changes to any global assignment settings will override all individual assignment settings you may have. If you choose to proceed, your assignment settings will revert to the default global assignment settings.

This warning message alerts you that making any global changes to assignment settings will impact any settings you have made at a more granular level.

As part of the course creation process, you will make decisions for the global settings that apply to the different assignment types: Chapter Tests, Knowledge Checks, Multimedia Activities, and Critical Thinking Checks. Once you finish the course creation process, you can further edit assignment
settings for a chapter or individual assignments.

After course creation, you can go back to the global settings to make changes.

Once you have made changes at the chapter or assignment level, making any changes at the global level will cause all settings for the chapters or individual assignments to be lost.

If you proceed with making changes to the global assignment settings, any settings you had in place at the chapter or assignment level will need to be reapplied.
